The Jado Harpenden club was born out of the St Albans club. It started in 2011 and after being based in Dagnall Street Church and then Batchwood Sports Hall, we moved to The Harpenden Trust Halls in Southdown, Harpenden (above the Coop!)

The instructor team is a father and son, Mark and Laurie Owen-Ward. They both started Jado at about the same time though at very different ages! The club founder Mark (59) is a 3rd degree black belt Sifu and Laurie (22) is a 2nd degree level 5. Either instructor may be running the classes and both are first aid trained, DBS cleared on the annual scheme and insured.
